On February 17, 2024, Saturday, a unique Valentine's Day party took place at the Rio Banquet Hall in Calgary. The people of the South Asian community came together to celebrate this Western-inspired occasion with their desi twist on Family Day weekend. About 200 enthusiastic people, including all age groups, were present in the celebration, which was co-organized by Karan Shah, Meet Parekh from Namaste Canada, Paritosh Hirulkar and myself, Dhruvi Shah from Indian Youth Event Planners. It was a huge success.

The guests were the center of attention that evening. The Rio Banquet Hall was filled with enthusiasm, laughter and love. The party turned into a symbol of the vibrant diversity that represents Calgary's multi-cultural environment.

The evening's highlight was a series of exciting performances by the talented Mohanaa Dance Expression group, whose choreography and rhythmic movements thrilled the crowd. The party was given a desi touch by performing Bollywood performances, which included dancing, singing, and acting.

Food serves as a common language that unites people. A delicious buffet of vegetarian Indian food was served at the party, which also included Jain (food with no root vegetables) and Swaminarayan (food with no onion and garlic), which helped to make this event unique and showcased the organizers' dedication to bringing people together while keeping their preferences in mind.

The party was made even more joyful by Dhwanil Trivedi, host of the event, with the number of entertaining games and prizes that were given to the guests at the party. The entire event was a reflection how carefully Namaste Canada and Indian Event Youth Planners planned the event, making sure that each little thing added to the overall feeling of happiness and unity.

Behind the scenes, sponsor support made a big difference. They understood the value of bringing communities together, which made the event possible. This event was a symbol of unity and support, which was only possible because of the contribution each sponsor made, believing in Namaste Canada and Indian Youth Planners.

The DJ party had everyone up and dancing to celebrate love and unity. This was an occasion when South Asian people's variety of customs blended with the lively boundaries between cultures and the energy of Western-inspired ideas to establish unity.
The success of this Valentine's Day celebration party was more than simply an example of a get-together; it was a strength of community and a representation of Calgary's teamwork that comes from diverse cultural backgrounds. The celebration of love in all its forms was an example of how the South Asian community could adopt and celebrate diverse cultures with a heart full of warmth.
